The wall’s original drainage system was insufficient, allowing groundwater pressure to build up behind it over time. This combination of poor drainage and weather exposure made a full reconstruction the best long-term solution.

Excavation and Foundation

Our crew began by carefully dismantling the existing wall and excavating to reach a solid, stable base. A robust footing was then established to provide the proper foundation for the new residential retaining wall system. This step is critical, as the strength of any retaining wall depends on a properly compacted and leveled base that can handle both static and dynamic soil loads.

Drainage and Structural Design

Next came the installation of a new perimeter drainage system. We incorporated perforated drainpipe wrapped in filter fabric, layered with clean drain rock to ensure effective water flow away from the structure.
